Vertical Take-Up Unwind
PLIP-41092.000 - Spent Core Lowering
This upgrade can be fitted to most vertical take up unwinds with a full section welded framework. This upgrade can not be applied to unwinds with adjustable pedestals. This upgrade is designed to replace the T-type or the hook-type core catcher. Spent core lowering takes the parent roll core from the end of the unwind frame, to a position closer to the floor. This allows easier access to remove the core plugs and to remove the core from the unwind. Air cylinder controlled expired core lowering arms. In lowest position, arms should rest against a stop that positions the centerline of core approximately two feet above floor. Improved Ergonomics Operator's are no longer required to lift and lower the spent core, and the core plugs from the core catcher, to the floor. Operator's can slab the remaining paper from the spent core while in the core lowering arms. |
